Margaret Ellen (Allen) Chaney

Margaret Ellen Chaney, 93, of Clifton passed away on Friday, September 2, 2022 at Lutheran Sunset Ministries. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Tuesday, September 6, 2022 at Hico Cemetery.

Margaret was born on June 10, 1929 in Hico, Texas to Frank and Lydia (Parker) Allen. She grew up in Hico. On June 1, 1946, she married Bruce Armon Chaney. They had two children, Michael Armon and Dian Elaine. For a few years, she worked at Walls Factory Outlet in Clifton. From 1956 to the 1980's, she was a homemaker and also helped her husband work cattle and build fences on their family farm in Valley Mills. Margaret was joyful, fun-loving, friendly and determined. Some of her hobbies included, shopping, crafting, and talking. She truly loved her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, and her son, Michael.

She is survived by her daughter, Elaine Howard and Husband, Larry; granddaughters, Sara Allen, and Amanda Howard; grandson, James Chaney and wife, Dana; 4 great-grandchildren.
