Helen West

Helen Virginia West of Azle, Texas was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.  She was suddenly called home to be with her lord on March 11, 2022 at the age of 77.

She was born to Onis & Amy Knudson in Ft. Worth, Texas on December 20, 1944.  She married Robert (Bob) West in 1976 and was married to the love of her life for 35 years until Bob’s passing in 2011.

Helen worked 25 years in the wholesale lumber business.  She retired from the Federal Aviation Administration after 20 years as a Personal Security Specialist.  She enjoyed gardening and collecting antiques.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her son Brian West, her sister Nancy and her husband Reece Alsobrook, her sister Linda and her husband James Bedford and her brother Barry Knudson.

Helen is survived by her granddaughter Charisma West and grandson Blayne West, nieces Barbara and Teresa Bedford, Debbie and Rebecca Alsobrook and nephew Randy Alsobrook as well as numerous step grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A graveside service is scheduled for 12pm on Friday, March 18, 2022 at the Saint Olaf Cemetery, 2580 County Road 4145 in Cranfills Gap, Texas, 76637.
