Stephanie Roxanne Mize

Stephanie Roxanne Mize was born on September 3, 1973 and passed away on September 7, 2026. She gained her wings and eternal peace at one of her favorite places on Earth, The Hideaway. She left Earth the same way she chose to live, spending time with family and those whom she loved. Love was the main force in Stephanie’s life; if she met you, she loved you and wanted you to be happy. She lived with a desire to celebrate everything—no holiday was too small for her to find a pair of themed sunglasses, a headband, and a matching shirt. She was the family keeper of birthdays and was normally the first to wish you a happy birthday every year.

Stephanie was a daughter, a sister, and a friend, but her two favorite titles were mother and aunt. She loved being “Mom” to Travis and “Aunt Stephanie/Stephy” to Siarra, Jordan, Emma, Reece, Abigale, and Lilliana. She was a Great Aunt to Scotlynn, Ellie, KJ, and Cohen. She loved to celebrate all their milestones!

She was creative and enjoyed crafting, along with a good book or word search. She adored sharing stories and simply spending time around those she loved. She had a fondness for pets, especially her last dog, Bingo. Her calm spirit had a way of making others feel comfortable around her. She loved the color purple and butterflies and sunsets.

She was met at the Pearly Gates by those whom she loved who went before her, including Doris and Martin Carlson, Carl Mize, Jean (Gene) Holley, Sherry Evans, Ronnie Carlson, Jimmy Mize, and other friends and family. She is survived by her son, Travis Mitchell of Sweetwater, Texas; parents Donna and Wayne Mize of McCaulley, Texas; brother Steven Mize (Jessica Lilly) of White, Georgia; sister Ashley Mize (Lilliana) of McCaulley, Texas; all of her nieces and nephews, their significant others and her great nieces and nephews; along with family and friends.

The family will lay her to rest at The Old Rock Church, Cranfills Gap, Texas, following a private service.
