In Loving Memory of Ronny Liardon

It is with deep sadness that we announce the loss of Ronny Liardon, who passed away on July 21, 2026 at the age of 60.

Ronny lived a life defined by hard work, honesty, friendship, and the highest level of moral character. Born May 12, 1966 in Clifton, Texas, Ronny grew up with a passion for stewardship that originated with farming and ranching but through the years was woven into to the Community through teaching, mentorship, and unparalleled service. Decades spent as a farmer, educator, volunteer fireman, youth fair supporter, and County Commissioner leave an impact that will be felt in perpetuity.

Ronny was a giant of a man, casting a warm benevolent light for all of those lucky enough to come into its glow. He spent his life in service to his family, friends, students, and constituents alike. He was a teacher to his students far beyond their years of formal education, a friend to all in times of fears or famine, a family member that held us all to a standard of giving more than was taken. Whether in professional endeavors or personal pursuits, Ronny was known for his steadfast dependability and willingness to take on any challenge asked of him, making this world a better place and leaving no one behind in the doing. Those who knew Ronny became part of an extended "family" that will certainly pick up his mantle, as heavy as it may be, and carry it forward.

Ronny is survived by his son James Liardon, brothers Gary and Tom Liardon, mother and father Linda Lyon Liardon and Richard Liardon, son with spouse Tyler and Jade Chiles, grandchildren Paisley, Sadie, Whitley, and Charlie Chiles, and the love of his life Andee Hitzfeld.

His loss will be a hard road ahead but the love he shared with family and friends will carry them.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, August 1st, at the Clifton High School Performing Arts Center. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Clifton Education Foundation Scholarship Fund.

Though Ronny is no longer with us in person, the legacy of his kindness, love, and unwavering dedication to a giant host of family and friends will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him. Ronny will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
