Mat “Matilda Hollingsworth, 85, passed away peacefully on June 5, 2026, with her loving husband Bobby by her side.

Born on March 14, 1941, in Oak Lake, Texas, to Steve and Simona Fuentes. Mat lived a life filled with joy and simple pleasures, including traveling, gardening, cooking beautiful meals for her family, and spending quiet times sitting on the porch listening to the birds sing. Above all, she cherished every single moment she spent with her husband Bobby.

To honor Mat’s final wishes, the family will not be holding a public service. Instead, they ask that you honor her memory by remembering the happiness we all shared in her presence.

She is survived by her loving husband, Bobby. She is also survived by her loving daughter, Debbie, and her husband, Larry, of Fort Worth; her brother, Tommy, and his wife, Jean, of China Spring; and her brother, Jesse, and his wife, Gippi, of Waco. Her family will forever cherish her memory and the legacy of love she leaves behind.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Frank Fuentes; and sister, Mina “Penny” Whearly.
