Martin Olin Jorgenson, 84, Cranfills Gap, Tx, peacefully went home to be with his lord on July 22, 2026, surrounded by the love of family, and by the grace of God, is reunited with those he loved and lost.

Born on April 19 1942 in Houston, Tx, he was the beloved son of Ovie and Ora Mae Jorgenson. Throughout his life Olin was known for his kindness, generosity, and steadfast faith in the lord. Olin always had time for those seeking in faith and to know the lord.

He married Linda June Stelwagen on June 15th 1963 in Good Shepherd Houston, Tx. They were blessed with two children, Martin Olin Jorgenson II and Catherine Marie Watson. His legacy will continue through his Grandchildren.

Olin lived a life devoted to serving others and honoring God through his actions. His first job was a bagger/stocker at Weingarten's Grocery Store in Houston, where he received a draft notice into the Vietnam War. After serving for 2 years, he returned to Weingarten’s and worked his way up to assistant manager. Then proceeded to work at Baker Hughes in Houston, where he retired and moved to the farm in Cranfills Gap. He had a passion for Bonsai, and enjoyed volunteering inside of the church. He spent his years in Good Shepherd Lutheran church in Houston Tx, Saint Olaf Lutheran Church Cranfills Gap Tx, and in the remainder of his years was devoted to First Baptist Church of Cranfills Gap, always striving to reflect Christ's love. Olin found the greatest fellowship with family, friends, and the church community.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, August 15, 2026, at First Baptist Church, Cranfills Gap. A second service will be held at 9:00 A.M. Saturday, August 22, 2026 at The Bridge Church in Sugarland at 802 Brooks St. Sugarland, TX 77478.

Martin Olin Jorgenson is survived by his cat Blackie, daughter Catherine Watson, Grandchildren Joshua Wilhelm, Hayden Wilhelm, Tyler Watson, Sister Frances Meinen, Nephew Troy Meinen, Nieces Lisa Meinen, Angela Salisbury, and many other loving family members and friends who will cherish Olin's memory and the example of faith he leaves behind.

He always held Psalms 23 close to his heart.
