Josephine Ella Mae Schronk-Eary-Blum, age 90, of Clifton, Texas, was peacefully called home to be with her Lord on January 5, 2026.
She was born on July 18, 1935, at home on Whites Way between Jonesboro and Hamilton, Texas. Josephine lived a life rooted in faith, love, kindness, and service to others. She walked humbly with God and reflected His love through her gentle spirit, warm compliments, and the way she made everyone feel valued and cherished.
Josephine was a dedicated and hardworking woman, spending her working years at Wyatt’s Cafeteria, Justin Boots, and cleaning houses. Through every season of life, her family always came first. When she was able, she found joy in cooking, gardening, and working in the yard, but her greatest devotion was to her church and her faith, which guided her life and sustained her through all things.
She is lovingly survived by her grandchildren Bobby Goains, Amy Goains Simmons and husband Bobby, and Amanda Cornelius; her great-grandsons Coby Goains and Jason Wayne Cornelius and his fiancée Brittany; her great-great-grandson Eli Goains; her great-great-granddaughters Blakely and Paysleigh Cornelius; her nephew Robert Schronk. Step Children Charles Blum, and son Aaron and Nancy Blum.
She was joyfully reunited in Heaven with her parents, Adolph Schronk and Lena Schmiegel-Schronk; her siblings, Lee Schronk and Lawrence Schronk; her previous husbands, Gene Eary and Charles Blum; her children, Eugene Eary and Janet Sova; and her precious great-grandson, Chayson Cornelius.
Though we grieve her earthly absence, we rejoice in knowing that Josephine has received her Heavenly reward, and we take comfort in the promise that we will see her again. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 10, at 11:00 a.m. at Clifton Funeral Home. Lunch will be provided following the service at First Baptist Church, 106 S. AVE G, from 12-2 P.M.
