Edward Lear

Edward Arnold Lear at the age of 71, passed away peacefully in his sleep in the early morning hours of May 19, 2026.

Edward was born in Dallas, Texas on December 7, 1954. He was the son of Clyde and Annie Lear.

He was married on November 25, 1981 to the love of his life, Jackie Lear. They lived their life in Clifton, Texas, surrounded by their precious family. He was a father to 5 children who strongly believed he was the strongest man they ever knew. He worked endlessly to provide for his wife and children. Edward was a man who loved and cherished his wife dearly alongside his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Edward was preceded in death by his parents Clyde and Annie Lear and brother Loyld Lear,
his beautiful and loving wife, Jackie Lear, his son Christopher Lear and his daughter Melissa Ann Lear.

He is survived by his brothers Clyde Lear and John Lear. Sisters, Vonda Lear, Theresa Lear, Tammy and husband Victor Rodriguez, and Donna Kendrick. Step-brother Robert Lear and step-sister Treva Lear. Edward is also survived by his loving children, daughters Angela Bowlin of Kentucky, Nikki and husband Ricky Bridger of Clifton and Ashley King of Clifton. 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and many cousins. He will be so missed by many who loved and cared for him.
