Stella Gayle (Richards) Weaver

Stella Gayle (Richards) Weaver, of Clifton, passed from this life Saturday, Nov. 2, 2019, at the age of 80. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 9 at Fairview Church, Clifton. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 8 at Clifton Funeral Home.

Stella was born Jan. 8, 1939 to Bryan and Viola Richards in Cayote, Texas. A 1957 graduate of Clifton High School, Stella studied business and music at Texas Wesleyan University. She shared her talents and love of music as an organist and pianist at a number of churches in and around Clifton, including Fairview Baptist Church in Clifton, First Methodist Church in Clifton, First Methodist Church in Cayote, and Valley Mills Methodist Church. Her music brought delight to many at the hospital and funeral home. Stella was a talented seamstress and quilter. She loved cooking, painting and spending time with her family and friends. 

Stella will be dearly missed. 

She is preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Lillie Payne, Nora Lowe and Jake Richards. 

Stella is survived by her husband, James D. Weaver; children, Cristi Sparkman and husband Ronald of Clifton, Kathy Tuten and husband Kory of San Antonio, Cindy Wennin and husband Mark of Clifton, and John Weaver and wife Lisa of Boerne; 27 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
