Judith (Stokes) Hines

Judith Eileen (Stokes) Hines, 68, of Clifton passed away on Wednesday, May 25, 2022. Services are pending at this time. 

Judith E. Hines was born April 13th, 1954, in Pittsburg, California, to Adlai and Patricia Stokes. She was born and raised in the Bay Area of California, and Half Moon Bay was a place that was always close to her heart. Her eyes always sparkled when she talked about that town. However, it played a huge role in the fact that she never ate fish. She'd say, "my daddy was a fisherman, ate plenty as a kid".

She graduated HMBHS in 1972, and in 1984 she married Carl Hines. Not long after, she began working as a professional truck driver alongside him. The two of them trucked together until his passing on March 1st, 2008. She continued driving solo until her retirement, but even after retirement she would ride passenger seat in a rig with her son. She really loved being on the road, and most of the friends she had, she met out there. She had a knack for making friends everywhere she went with her charismatic and bubbly personality.

Her favorite pastimes included traveling to see old friends and out-of-town family, going junkin' to find treasures, coloring pictures on her phone to share with those she loved, crafting and DIY projects, and watching her favorite shows on TV. She loved drinking coffee, and the smell of a fresh-brewed pot will forever spark a memory of her for those who were close to her.

Jude was an amazing woman, and loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her love for her family and her firecracker sense of humor made her an unforgettable joy in everyone's lives.

Preceded in death by her father and mother, Adlai and Patricia Stokes; husband, Carl Edward Hines; sister, Stephanie Brooks; son, Bryan Robert Vargas; son, Steven Jerald McCain.

Survivors: daughter and son in law, Yolanda and David Jones of Clifton Texas; son,  Ron Vargas and partner Tiffany Smith of Dublin Texas; son, Kevin McCain of Clifton Texas; niece, Kasey Pruit of Arkansas and Her Best friend of over 60 years, Kathy Fitzpatrick of California; grandchildren, Lindsay, Ashliegh, Emmy, Allica, Wrangler, Amber, Kylie, Austin, Zoey, Ronnie, Dugan, Hannah and Ryan; great-grandchildren, Landon, Madison, Katalina, Mia, Camila, Paislee, Bronx, Coraline, Alys, Sebastian, Louis and Jainalee.
