John Tyree, Sr.

John Daniel Tyree, Sr., 73, of Clifton passed away on December 26, 2019. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, December 31, 2019 at the Central Texas Veterans Cemetery in Killeen. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 P.M. Monday, December 30, 2019 at Clifton Funeral Home. 

John Daniel Tyree, Sr. was born on January 5, 1946 in Washington D.C. to Theodore and Oretha (Tolley) Tyree. He grew up in Beckley, West Virginia. After high school, he joined the United States Navy, serving from 1961-1971. In 1967, he met Elaine Cannao on a blind date, they dated from then on and married on April 1, 1970. To this union brought two sons, John and Brian. In 1980, John and his family moved to Clifton. He loved to golf, come rain, sleet or snow, you would find him on the golf course. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. 

He is survived by his wife, Elaine Tyree; sons, John Tyree, Jr. and fiancé, Vicki Weber; Brian Tyree; brother, Thomas Richard; grandson, Cohen Tyree, and granddaughter, Harper Tyree.
