Jimmy L. Pierce

James Pierce IV (Jimmy), 69, passed away on November 1, 2022 from a massive heart attack that took him home. The family will hold a private Celebration of Life for Jimmy. 

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Cindy Pierce; brother, Bill Pierce; sister, Missy Pierce; and 9 nieces and nephews. 

Jimmy was born on October 20, 1953 to his parents, Mary Hulcy Pierce and James Lovick Pierce III. He graduated from Meridian High School in 1972, and spent his summers water skiing, fishing,and terrorizing the neighborhood with his dune buggy. He spent winters playing football, working cows with his brother Bill and stepdad Fred Owen, who was an important role model in his life. Jimmy had an affinity for fixing anything with a motor: cars, airplanes, boats, and was a talented mechanic. His favorite hobby was competition skeet shooting and was an excellent shot and referee.

He will be forever remembered in the hearts of his beloved wife, Cindy, his brother, sister and large extended family.
