Obituary
David Carl Tyssen, 87, passed away Sunday, March 22, 2020 at the Sunset Home. A private service will be held.
David was born on March 22, 1933, in Dallas to Carl and Hattie (Hanson) Tyssen. After graduating from Clifton High School in 1950, he attended two years at Clifton Jr. College and went on to receive a teaching degree from Baylor. He began teaching at Clifton High School in 1957. On January 31, 1959, he married Carolyn Ann Pollak at the Central Lutheran Church in Dallas. The couple had two children, Marilyn and Evelyn. He enjoyed raising his cattle, singing and playing the guitar, and traveling the world with his wife.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn; daughters, Marilyn Flores and husband, Victor, Evelyn Tyssen; and grandchild, Wyatt Flores.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, at 803 West 3rd St. Clifton, TX 76634.
