Chieko Iha Amundson, 90, of Clifton, went to be with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Thursday, January 14, 2021 in Waco, TX. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Chieko was born on August 20, 1930 in Ishikawa City, Okinawa, Japan to Kyotaro and Kamado Iha. She met her husband, Alfred Amundson, while working at Sax Overseas in Okinawa, Japan. She filled her spare time utilizing her many talents sewing, crocheting, gardening, baking, decorating cakes, and painting ceramics. She loved her grandchildren and took pride in everything they did. She was an avid Cowboys and Rangers fan and followed Clifton’s football and baseball teams – especially when they were members of her church family.
Chieko was baptized and confirmed into the Lutheran faith. She was a member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church.
