Charles Gary

Charles Gary, 81, passed away on Monday, February 15, 2021 at Ascension Providence Hospital in Waco. A memorial celebration of Charles’ life will be held in the spring.

Charles was born on October 6, 1939, in Dallas, Texas, to Lewis Esmond Gary and Blanche Marie Douglas Gary. Charles was married to Shirley Easterwood Jessup Gary on February 14, 1993.

Charles had a heart of gold and was always willing to help anyone at any time. He worked most of his adult life at Cleburne Plumbing Supply in Cleburne, Texas; and retired in 2003. He was always helping someone with their plumbing problems. Charles loved playing golf, fishing, hunting, and visiting with his many friends.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, James Gary.

He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Shirley; stepdaughter, Stacy Grubbs and husband, Ben; granddaughter, Christina; great-granddaughter, Millie of Arlington, TX; sisters-in-law, Mary Fewell of Whitney, Texas and Nora Schlueter of Cedar Park, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.

Charles will be missed by many, but will remain in our hearts forever.
