Barbara Ann Whitley

Barbara Ann Whitley, 81 passed away Wednesday, March 1, 2023. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Monday, March 6, 2023, at Searsville Baptist Church, Valley Mills with Rev. Ray Seeingar officiating. Burial will follow at Turnersville Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church (12:00-1:00).

Barbara was born to Fred and Esmer Holland on October 30, 1941, in Roby, Texas, and spent her childhood in DeLeon, Texas. She was married to Harlon Don Whitley on January 4, 1958. Together they raised four children, with Barbara a stay-at-home mother for most of that time. In later years she worked as a floral designer. Always ready to cook for or help out someone, she never met a stranger. She loved meeting new people, crocheting, playing cards, and learning about history. Her favorite vacations were to the Smithsonian and Mt. Rushmore. Along with these vacations, she was a world traveler due to being a military wife.

Barbara is survived by her children Patricia Ann Whitley and her spouse Pamela Ann Cox of Waco, Texas, Raymond Dean Whitley, and his wife Judy Whitley of Colorado. She was preceded in death by her husband Harlon Don Whitley and two daughters Donna Jo Busch and Judy Lou Whitley.

Other survivors include grandchildren, John Vincent Consentino III, Christina Lynn Dominguez, and husband, Joey. Jason Rodney and Douglas Whitley and multiple great-grandchildren.
